Every Time I See a Show with a Hacker...

This is what I think. The more you know about it, the more you know how "unmagical" it is and can be. It's as if "hacking" has become a modern day accepted Deus Ex Machina.

I wouldn't mind the whole HackWorts thing shows and movies do if they'd put at least a little bit of time into not making it so goofy. At least TRY and use some terminology that's real. At least try to show some of the REAL aspects of it. Make it so that when a little kid sees the movie and thinks "oooh, code looks cool" they don't think about it like "oooh, code looks cool...but since it's magic there's no way I could do it."

Anyhow.. my random saturday morning thoughts....
